The future that we all have been waiting for!!

An Elder from my church really woke me up this week by making one small statement.  He said that we as people always seem to wonder about what God is going to do and the answer is already in the bible.  He is absolutely right!  God has told us what to do and what to expect if we follow through on our side.  Through His Word He told us of the destruction and the reward that we may receive if we obey His commandments.  Go on read it for yourself (I enjoy reading the King James version).  Yes, it is true, we cannot read God's mind but He has definitely left many answers.  The question is "Do we believe them"?  Will we obey them?  Do we really care about the consequences of living free from sin?  Whatttttt?  No she didn't say "Free from sin"!  I was taught that God would not tell us to do anything that He knew we could not do (that would be unreasonable and God is not unreasonable) and He became an example through Jesus; that we can do it.  We are required to pray because Jesus did it, we are expected to be baptized in Jesus name like Jesus did, we are required to resist the devil like Jesus and we are expected to live free from sin, just like Jesus did.  Now I am not a bible scholar but I know that the bible says "Be holy for I am holy" and "Be ye perfect because I am perfect" and it also says "Holiness without, no man shall see the Lord".  Now that sounds like basic common sense that we can be holy and perfect.  So STOPPPPP saying "No one is perfect"!!!!!  Here is the same question again; do we believe the word of God and do we want to live free from sin and sinful affections?  Just a thought people!   Do you think that God has given us the tools to live holy lives?

Okay...so I'm trying to be consistent.

Day two of my name quest.  I chose the word consistent because I think that all things require consistency and discipline; yes, I mean good and bad things.  If more people, including me, could grasp the very concept of consistency and discipline, then I would be able to chose other words to focus on today (smile).  Think about it, evil-minded individuals use a great deal of concentration and precision to plan their mischief endeavors.  Many of them are pretty successful at what they do and you could say they are consistent and disciplined.  On the flip side, some of the most successful entrepreneurs  and "go-getters" are very consistent and disciplined.  They sacrifice time, family and etc. to build on their visions and goals.  So basically, it makes for a yummy recipe when you mix the two components together.  You can't lose.

Free at Las'

Yes, I have finally jumped on the bandwagon and started blogging, yay!  One day I just sat there and said to myself  "Self, you have things to say too; so go ahead and say them".  Anyway, a blog is really just like a diary to me, except it's public and it dwells among other things that are swinging in the World Wide Web. Not that I want to be caught in a web or anything, but that's just the world we live in.   I love to write and besides it seems to be a stress reliever.
Let's first begin by saying, for the record, I am not a politician, a scientist, a professor or any type of person who holds some great title or prestige.  I'm just a Mommy and an everyday wifey who still has an opinion of my own.  I do not have some mystical revelation to reveal and I may not do any research on my thoughts if I don't feel like it; I'm a blogger.
My name is Chyteal (sounds like Sha-till) and it has absolutely no meaning at all, thanks Mama (wink).  I decided that this blog would be a good way to start the journey of creating a fair and meaningful definition of my own name.  Who says I can't?  So for all the future Chyteal's in the upcoming world, get ready to hear what your name means and the legacy behind it.
I think the key to any diary or blog is to be consistent...so here we go!
